I love watching movies and series on Netflix, but unfortunately I didn’t have too much time to do so in April. But of course, I still did. I can’t even fanthom going through a month without watching a movie or a series episode.
Altered Carbon – Season 1
I finally finished Altered Carbon! Admittedly, I was stuck for a while on episode 3, but afterwards I couldn’t tear my eyes off the screen. Then, I just binge-watched.
Lucifer – Season 1
One of my trainees mentioned this series, so I made a mental note to check it out. Surprisingly, I caught the Husband watching this, so I sat down with him and watched with him. We finished season 1. It’s an alright show. I do think that the main actor really fits the role of Lucifer.
Riverdale – Season 2
This is simply getting worse and worse. Season 2 is a disaster and I am so glad that it will end soon. Will there be a season 3? I hope not!
La Casa de Papel
Everyone loves La Casa de Papel, The Professor, Tokyo, …. Despite my best efforts, I can’t get past episode 4. Perhaps next month, I’ll finally finish it.
Baby Girl and I enjoyed this movie about 2 high school students who are debate champions. It makes you think about what really matters -the journey or the destination?
Excellent movie especially in this day and age. First of all, this is a French movie. It talks about a fair-skinned woman (who is borderline racist) who finds out she has to take care of her grandson while her daughter has to undergo cancer treatment. Problem is, the mother-daughter duo have been estranged for a couple of weeks. In fact, this is the first time she meets her grandson. Imagine her surprise when she sees that he is mixed race.
Jim Jefferies – Bare
Netflix has a great selection of stand-up comedies and I started with Jim Jefferies. He is naughty and it’s quite fascinating to watch him make jokes about his wife and son, both are not spared by his tongue.
