Hello everyone! This week has been great. I haven’t worked a lot, but I’ve spent a lot of time with the Husband which is great. So great, especially because we haven’t argued that much. Yeahhh!!! It would be a perfect week except for the fact that Baby Girl isn’t home. It’s currently Spring Break and as usual, she is in the countryside with my French family. The Husband and I went to the countryside last Sunday to celebrate my aunt’s 80th birthday. 80 years old and still super active! I absolutely admire her. After the party, Baby Girl was supposed to come home with us, but she begged to stay a little longer. She’s coming home tomorrow afternoon and I can’t wait!
Anyways, since posting about the Thermomix TM5 (click here for the post), I’ve decided to post regularly Thermomix recipes here. The first one was a recipe for Waffles (click here for the post). Before I start experimenting my own Thermomix recipes, I want to write about the ones that I regularly make and love such as the Strawberry Sorbet.
Strawberry Sorbet (Thermomix Recipe) -this was taken from the Thermomix cookbook (Ma Cuisine au Quotidien)
- 80 grams sugar
- 500 grams frozen strawberries
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 egg white
Prepare all the ingredients needed.
By the way, this recipe goes for all kinds of fruits. Mango, Pineapple, Raspberry, etc .. Just as long as they are frozen and you have 500 grams of them.
Just follow the recipe as indicated on the screen.
This is the Strawberry Sorbet but ….
…. what I like to do is add the Butterfly Whisk and let it work its magic for 1 minute on speed 3.
The final result is an airy and creamy sort-of-like Gelato.
This is the best Strawberry Sorbet / Gelato ever! 😍 😍
The best part is licking everything clean.
I like to transfer it in a bowl and put in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before enjoying it. Yuuummm … I think I have to buy ice cream containers because I have lots and lots of ice cream and sorbet idea coming up!
