Hey guys! It is officially Spring today! What wonderful news. Not too wonderful for my skin unfortunately. In the last years, I’ve noticed that my skin has a tough time adjusting to the seasons. At the moment, for example, my skin is extremely dry and flaky. It almost feels like it got burned from the dry and cold winter weather. I tried several moisturizer and face care products, but ultimately what I felt worked best on my skin was the Sulwhasoo Basic Kit.
I received the Sulwhasoo Basic Kit in the Prescription Lab beauty box of Decembe. It is a Korean brand and is composed of 4 products: 1.) First Care Activating Serum, 2.) Essential Balancing Water, 3.) Essential Balancing Emulsion, and 4.) Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream (which smells really strong!).
After a couple of weeks of using this routine, my skin was back to what I was used to. A perfect balance of not oily and not dry. But I decided to scan it on application Yuka (click here for the post) and shockingly I saw that it was rated 0/100 on the app. 0/100!!!
The list of endocrine disruptors and carcinogenic compounds was frightening. As I’m getting older, I want to try to be more careful with what I eat and what I put on my skin. So as much as I love its effects on my skin, I’m gonna have to say buh-bye now!
