What Happened on New Year’s Eve 2017??

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? 🙂

Because I meet a lot people, thanks to my work, interesting things always seem to happen to me. My friends, trainees, and colleagues always tease me that I should write a compilation book.

Sadly though, I also tend to attract bad luck. A wise person once told me that God hands these challenges to the strongest ones, knowing that they can go through anything. If that’s the case, then I am a freaking superhero. ;p

Coquillettes Jambon

Hello everyone! How are you all doing?

As you might know, I am half Filipino-half French and I am married to a Filipino man. As Filipinos, it is part of our culture and heritage to eat rice everyday. Back in the Philippines, we ate rice up to 3 times a day, but here in France we usually have rice once a day. But that’s just because breakfast is usually a quick one and we don’t usually eat lunch at home. I was told recently by a client that apparently Asians have a sort of stomach enzyme which makes it easier to eat and digest rice. I still have to confirm that information. While eating rice so regularly is a real pleasure for us, it’s not the case for our daughter, Baby Girl. She has a hard time understanding why rice is so frequent on our dining table. LOL. If she could cook our meals, she would prepare pasta and French fries. I do try to cook pasta from time to time, but I never make fries at home. The smell of cooking fried potatoes is not one that I particularly like, so we save that for when we go to the restaurant.

Poulet Basquaise

Poulet Basquaise is of my favorite French dishes ever. Turns out, it’s one of the easiest thing to make as well, so it’s safe to say that I cook this at least once or twice a month. What’s great is that it is made with bell peppers and red bell pepper is a great source of vitamin C. I know a lot of people who have difficulties digesting bell peppers. Thank God we don’t have that problem! 😉

Crab and Avocado Terrine

Hello guys! What’s up? Today, I am going to write about last Saturday. If you read my previous post (click here for the post), you probably know that I was not at my best. I was upset and Baby Girl was away to her first Scout Weekend, so at 3PM, I couldn’t wait for the Husband to come home from work. I needed to talk to someone and as soon as I did, I felt light years better! So we went off to do one of my favorite activity – grocery shopping!
