I must be crazy to use the oven today, but I really really really love this recipe. Plus, it’s so easy to prepare! Yesterday was such a hot day so I probably wouldn’t have done it then though. Temperatures reached 36 degrees Celsius. I had to go home early from work because I felt ill. Problem was, I was sweating all morning, really sweating, and then in the afternoon it dried up. I knew I was going to be ill. By 4PM, I was sneezing, had a runny nose, and feeling chilly. Today, maximum temperature reached 26 degrees Celsius, but most importantly it was a little bit windy.
Rain or shine, if I want to eat a stew I’ll cook one. Truthfully when it comes to food I don’t really follow the seasons. Of course, I won’t eat a Tomato Salad when tomatoes are out of season and not any good. But nothing will stop me from eating a soup in the middle of the summer if I want to. Or a stew. 😋
One-Pot Pasta. Never in my dreams I thought I would cook pasta this way! I learned to cook pasta thanks to my father and he was very traditional. Pasta had to cooked in salted boiling water until al dente, drained carefully (reserving a ladle full of pasta water to add to the sauce), and served with its delicious sauce.
I take great pleasure in cooking for my family. If you take a look at my Instagram account (click here), you’ll see exactly what I mean. Since I got my Thermomix TM5, I’ve been making regularly Waffles for Baby Girl. Actually, I make them on Saturday mornings. We eat about 2 each and I freeze the rest. These are eaten during the week for breakfast or sometimes Baby Girl brings some as a school snack. This saves us so much time during the week and money too!
A couple of weeks ago, I invited friends over for dinner. It’s been a while since we hosted dinner! I was going through the blog and it seems that the last time was in August 2017. Click here for the post. Nahhh, that can’t be right! Actually, we did have friends over since August, I just didn’t write about it.
Hello everybody! 🌞.
Let me introduce you to my Thermomix TM5. I’ve had it for 2 years now and I can say that it’s been really useful!
Hello everyone! How are you all doing?
As you might know, I am half Filipino-half French and I am married to a Filipino man. As Filipinos, it is part of our culture and heritage to eat rice everyday. Back in the Philippines, we ate rice up to 3 times a day, but here in France we usually have rice once a day. But that’s just because breakfast is usually a quick one and we don’t usually eat lunch at home. I was told recently by a client that apparently Asians have a sort of stomach enzyme which makes it easier to eat and digest rice. I still have to confirm that information. While eating rice so regularly is a real pleasure for us, it’s not the case for our daughter, Baby Girl. She has a hard time understanding why rice is so frequent on our dining table. LOL. If she could cook our meals, she would prepare pasta and French fries. I do try to cook pasta from time to time, but I never make fries at home. The smell of cooking fried potatoes is not one that I particularly like, so we save that for when we go to the restaurant.
Poulet Basquaise is of my favorite French dishes ever. Turns out, it’s one of the easiest thing to make as well, so it’s safe to say that I cook this at least once or twice a month. What’s great is that it is made with bell peppers and red bell pepper is a great source of vitamin C. I know a lot of people who have difficulties digesting bell peppers. Thank God we don’t have that problem! 😉
Hello guys! What’s up? Today, I am going to write about last Saturday. If you read my previous post (click here for the post), you probably know that I was not at my best. I was upset and Baby Girl was away to her first Scout Weekend, so at 3PM, I couldn’t wait for the Husband to come home from work. I needed to talk to someone and as soon as I did, I felt light years better! So we went off to do one of my favorite activity – grocery shopping!
