Back-to-School 2018

Baby Girl has been back to school for 2 weeks now. This is the first time in a while where she isn’t the new girl anymore. Although she has never really showed us any signs of stress, I could tell that this year she was a little bit more relieved than in the past. She’s 10 years old and started CM2 (grade 5) this year. This also means this is her last first day in elementary school. Eeekk  – where did time go??? 😱 I guess that’s how it feels like when you become a mom at a young age. I’m 32, so technically not-too-old (don’t you dare say anything about that. yes you!), but when I look at my ten-year old I kinda do feel old. Harhar.

Happy 10th Birthday, Baby Girl!

Baby Girl turned 10 years old. 10 years old. I don’t know whether I want to cry or smile. Smile because somehow the Husband and I were able to make it 10 years in this challenging journey. We were just 22-23 years old when we became parents and shit-scared truthfully. And then I also want to cry. Cry because these past 10 years have flown by so quickly. Like a blink of an eye. When the Husband and I were in bed later that night, too tired to do anything but sleep (😴 😴 ), we couldn’t help but laugh about how our night turned out. We had a really fun night and the way the Husband sees it is that this year’s anniversary theme was sharing our love to others.

Renting an apartment in France

Hey everyone! I know it’s been a while but hey, I had a good excuse – we moved to a new apartment! I know, I know you might wonder what’s so complicated about that. But anyone who lives in France knows how difficult it is to find a rental place and be approved. Living in Metz is much easier than in Paris or Lyon for example, but man when our application was finally accepted and I had the keys in my hand, I felt like I had just joined a marathon! But there’s no time to breathe and relax- next is moving out and moving in – which is just another step in this whole ordeal.

A Friendship Breakup: Cutting Him Out of My Life

Any break-up is tough. We’ve all been through them. You cry, you eat a little too much ice cream and chocolate, you get a horrible haircut, and you spend what little money you have left shopping for things you absolutely have no use for. Eventually, you tell yourself you’re an amazing person who deserves someone equally as amazing.

But what do you do when it comes to a friendship? Most cases people naturally drift away from each other. We blame life, work, or responsibilities. But let’s be honest if you let these things come in the way, then perhaps the friendship was just not worth it.
