Baby Girl is part of a 4-girl group of friends at school. Sometimes they’re friends, sometimes they’re not. It’s head-spinning, really. One advice that I’ve shared with Baby Girl is « to not share deep secrets ». Who knows what will happen in middle school? When suddenly your elementary friends aren’t your friends anymore and the whole school knows that you still peed in bed until the age of 11. Not that’s the case with Baby Girl. She hasn’t peed in her bed since she was a year old. But you get what I mean, right? I told her to have minor secrets on hands in case she absolutely has to share.
Anyways, Baby Girl and her friends share their « gouter » or afternoon snack. Each girl brings something on her day and shares with the others. Baby Girl’s day is Monday, so on Sunday you can probably find me slaving away in the kitchen preparing something for Baby Girl. These past weeks I’ve been making Brownies with my Thermomix TM5. These babies are so good and the process to making them – so easy!
Brownies (Thermomix)
Ingredients:
200g chocolat noir
100g powdered sugar
50g flour
125g butter
3 eggs
100g walnuts
Before anything, preheat your oven at 180°C.
Put the chocolate (in cubes) in the thermomix then mix15 seconds / speed 5. Add the cubed butter and heat5 minutes and 30 seconds / 80°C / speed 1. Add the sugar, eggs, and flour in the Thermomix. Mix30 seconds / speed 5. Add the walnuts. Mix10 seconds / speed 4.
Transfer the chocolate mixture to a buttered dish. Bake in the oven for20 minutes at 180°C. This varies depending on the size of your baking dish. Make sure not to overcook your brownies.
No way anyone can resist licking this clean. We’re all guilty of that. ?
Remove from the oven and let it cool at least 2 hours before cutting in squares.
Enjoy!!
*What I also like to do is wrap the brownies individually and freeze them. Before going to school, Baby Girl grabs one to bring with her. It thaws on its own.
