Buying Fish and Seafood from Poiscaille.fr!

Hey, you! šŸŸšŸŸ

It's about time I write this post! I wanted to give it time to test it out and see how it went, but it's been one year and everything has been perfect so far.

Poiscaille (www.poiscaille.fr) is officially our fish and seafood supplier. By the way, the word "poiscaille" is fish in French slang in case you're wondering what it means.

So if you're living in France and love eating fish and seafood, then you might be interested by this. You can order from the site and your fish / seafood order goes from the fisherman's boat to your home ( or pick-up place).

You have 2 choices. You can subscribe to the "casier". That's about 1 kg of fish of the day, or 2 kgs of sea shells, or a mix of both.

Or like me, you can buy what's available in the Boutique. I prefer this option as I don't like the "surprise effect" because when you order the casier, you don't really know what you're getting exactly. Buying from the boutique lets me know what I will be buying exactly and therefore meal planning is easier for me.

Some have said that it's expensive, but I don't think so. The quality of the fish and seafood is totally worth it and honestly the difference in prices isn't that shocking. I'm not even sure it's that more expensive - I'll have to check that!

Here are some of my orders:

Fleur de Sel | Sea Salt

Vieille Fish

Ribs de Thon | Tuna Ribs

Moules | Mussels

Coques | Sea Shells

Crab

Coquilles Saint Jacques | Scallops

Huitres | Oysters

If you do get from the boutique, make sure to order at least 2 days before because it's impossible to do so one day before (for the delivery logistics).

Home delivery fees are a bit steep (14.90ā‚¬!!), so I prefer to get my order from a pick-up place (which is free! šŸ˜Š). In Metz, the pick-up place is Day by Day in Metz Shop (click here for the site).

Here are some dishes I've made with my orders:

Easy Seared Scallops (click here for the recipe)

Chili Crab

Stir-Fry Garlic Clams

Linguine alle Vongole

Baked Tuna Ribs (the best thing everrrrrr!)

If you're interested and want to try, send me your email address to get 10ā‚¬ off your first order. This can be a great opportunity if you want to test it out at least one time.

xoxo Elodie
