I made plans to see a friend last Tuesday and well, people who know me know that my love language is food so I made Chocolate Chip Cookies. I'm very picky when it comes to Chocolate Chip Cookies. I like them best thick, soft, and a bit chewy. In fact, I should probably call these chocolate chunk cookies because I prefer using chocolate chunks rather than chocolate chips. And preferably with walnuts, but unfortunately I don't usually have this on-hand in my kitchen so I had to pass on the walnuts.
After testing many recipes, I think I have found THE one I like best. It's not perfect because it's missing my walnuts, but it still pretty good. People always ask me the secret to my cookies and I have to say using brown AND white sugar is important. Also, I like freezing the dough before baking them in the oven. It keeps them thick, just the way I like them.
