Classic Walnut Brownies

Hey Everyone! ☕️

Life goes on, which is kinda strange and cruel when you've just lost someone you love.

But it is what it is.

I'm not ready to write in words what happened. We've accepted it, but .... putting it down in words feels like closing a chapter of a book that I haven't finished reading yet.

During this grieving period, I've decided to give time to myself, to my family, to support my husband. Back to basics. Do what I like best. What's familiar and brings comfort.

So I've decided to make a classic that I know makes me happy each time - Classic Walnut Brownies. So easy to make that it used to be my dessert contribution for Baby Girl's school Bake Sale or PTA meetings when she was younger.

Classic Walnut Brownies

Ingredients:

200g Dark Chocolate

125g Butter

100g Powdered Sugar

3 Eggs

50g Flour

100g Walnuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius.

  2. In a bowl, melt the butter and chocolate together. I use the microwave 2-3 minutes on low level, while checking it doesn't burn. Stir well.

  3. Add the sugar, flour, and the whisked eggs. Mix together well.

  4. Add the walnuts and fold in the batter.

  5. Butter a baking dish.

  6. Transfer the batter to the baking dish.

  7. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.

  8. Enjoy warm or cool. 😊

xoxo Elodie
