Hey, you! š
The weekend is over. Sob.
I had big plans for this weekend, but you know what they say about plans, right? They're meant to be changed.
The weather was gloomy and cold, with lots of rain. Basically, the kind of weather where I just like to stay in bed. But that didn't really happen.
On Saturday morning, our daughter S had in mind to go running around the block and oh my gosh, what can I say??? The things I do in the name of love! So all bundled up, I braved the cold rain and probably cursed a couple of times. I know she came out of me - I still remember the labor pain - but sometimes I can't help but question whether she's really my daughter or not. No legit daughter of mine would rather run early morning in the winter than sleeping-in in a warm bed. Anyways, once I got home and had a warm shower, they left me alone to finish editing our latest Living in France YouTube video. Click here for the video and here for the blog post.
The rest of the weekend was pretty chill. The Husband and S went out shopping for what I suspect were birthday gifts for me (I hope!!) and Christmas gifts as well. They also picked up our Poiscaille order of the week. I got Tuna Ribs which I oven-grilled once again (click here for the recipe) and oysters which I will use in a future video. Watch out for it! š
I wanted to watch a Christmas movie. If not now, then when? But S really wanted to watch Romeo and Juliet. Go figure. But that aquarium scene? Still gives me butterflies! The Husband mentioned that he feels like he finally appreciates the story. It's about time!! I teased him that that probably means he has finally reached maturity. Hahahaha!!
Anyways, there's something quite disturbing about Sundays. Maybe there's a form of denial to it, but I just don't see the day go by until it starts to get dark. And these days, it gets dark pretty early! We stayed home the whole day. A typical Sunday except I didn't do any house cleaning. Instead we made Spritz and even filmed it. Hopefully the video comes out tomorrow.
How about you? How was your weekend?
