Hey, you! 😄
Last summer, we went to the Philippines and I wrote all about it on the blog if you want more information. I am here today to talk about the food we had on the flight. I made a quick video about it a few weeks ago, but someone sent me a message asking if I could write a blog post. Here it is. 😀
Our flight from Frankfurt was at 2:30pm and two hours after take-off we had our first meal.
Late Lunch / Early Dinner:
Salted Peanuts
Potato and Smoked Salmon Salad
Steamed White Fish with Red Bell Pepper and Rice
Bread and Butter
Flan Sponge Cake
Orange Juice
This meal was okay. The best part of the meal was the Potato and Smoked Salmon Salad which was the only dish that was flavorful. Everything else was quite bland.
Two hours later, we were served some evening snack before they turned off the lights for sleeping time.
Evening Snack:
Croissant with Lettuce, Tomato, and Cheese
The croissant wasn't flaky at all, but the tomato and lettuce were fresh which I really appreciated.
Our plane landed at 7:15am Shanghai time and 1 hour and a half before landing we were served breakfast.
Breakfast:
Omelet, Potato, and Sausage with Tomato Sauce
Blueberry-Blackcurrant Yogurt
Fresh Fruits
I loved the fresh fruits, but unfortunately the omelet was not good at all! The eggs were rubbery, the potatoes were undercooked, and the tomato sauce was sour. I try to limit my dairy product intake so I didn't eat the yogurt. My husband did and he liked it.
While we were surprisingly served a lot of food (I didn't expect the evening snack), the food was not that great except for the Potato and Smoked Salmon Salad which I really loved!
Do you like airplane food?
