Hey, you! š
I used to be a huge autumn lover. Mainly thanks to the warm orangey red, golden brown, and green colors, but also because the temperatures get cooler so clothes are bulkier and cozier. For me, it represents a new start with the back-to-school / work which I consider more of a new year than the actual new year on January 1. Warm drinks make their reappearance. It's comfort. So yeah, these are some of the reasons why I loved autumn. Unfortunately, it looks like autumn does not like me as most of the hardest moments in my life happened during this season. So I fell out of love.
As the years go by, I've been really struggling with autumn more and more which leaves me completely burned out come winter. I've been working on this in therapy because I simply couldn't go on like this.
Every year, I anticipate my allergies in spring and we work on our immunity in winter, so I figured why not anticipate this period of autumn as well. My therapist was totally up for it and so I came up with the idea of making a Fall Bucket List. I've actually seen this a few times online and when I did, I immediately thought it might be a good idea.
So I'm gonna be doing things that I love and enjoy with my loved ones in an attempt to fall in love again with autumn. Replace old, sad memories with new, happy ones. I don't know what to begin with - hmmm, maybe the Pumpkin Spice Latte and baking Pumpkin Bread. Of course, the foodie in me would naturally choose food and drinks first. Hahaha
I hope this works - doesn't hurt to try, right? I'll let you know. š¤
Hope your Fall Bucket List helps to turn the season into happier memories š
