Hey, you! 🥘
According to Wikipedia, Iftar is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. I don't practice Ramadan as I am Catholic, but thanks to my Algerian and Moroccan friends here in France, I absolutely love the dishes served during this period! Every year, we always get invited to share this special meal with them - savory dishes, desserts, and drinks! Everything is always just so great.
It's obviously a bit complicated this year with the pandemic, so we haven't seen too many of our friends. So this year I decided to make some of these dishes myself at home. This was a wonderful feast!
Here's what I cooked tonight:
Vegetables Tagine
Beef and Cheese Brick
Fried Eggplant
🤤🤤🤤 I am salivating just thinking about these, especially about .....
... the Fried Eggplant!
I would not make this everyday because of the oil and the frying part. Although I wonder if I'd get the same result if I use an air-fryer. Anyways, this was so good! So simple to make, but deliciously tasty! This is the Husband's favorite vegetable and it might actually become mine as well. 🥰
