Hey, you! š„° š„°
Mother's Day this year has a bittersweet taste to it, but I don't want to talk about it here in this post. As usual, I try to focus on the positive side of things and I want to remember this day as a good one. But I will probably write about what's wrong in the next post because I feel like it's important I do.
Anyways ....
Mother's Day generally goes well because I put so much pressure on the Husband and Daughter. Hahahaha. Just kidding! But I did send a message to the Husband the other day saying "I'm so excited for the best day of my year". Hahahaha. This is actually a running family joke after my husband answered "but you're not my mother" after being asked what he was planning to get me. Since then, I've started to like giving him a hard time about it.

Mother's Day 2022 was ...
... a nice cup of coffee and a beautiful bouquet of pink peonies (my favorite! š)
... reviewing videos from the Johnny Depp - Amber Heard trial (Dr. Spiegel š )
... a nice walk to our morning activity (colourful flowers are everywhere š¼)
... a few hours in the pool (my favorite sport! š)
... pizza for lunch (no cooking for me! š)
... a nice nap with Bogart the Pug (so comfy and snuggly š¶)
... dinner care of S (her first time to cook for me! š„)
... a nice handmade scrapbook with photos & love notes (very touching and sentimental š)
It was a wonderful day. I don't have much in life, but I have everything that counts - my family. The Husband had to work in the afternoon (he also worked late the night before) and I really appreciated everything he did. S is also old enough to make her gifts on her own now and she just writes the sweetest letters. ā¤ļøā¤ļø
